Dive into the world of weaving- exploring colour blending, shapes, pattern and structure and texture in this comprehensive course. For complete beginners and intermediate weavers looking to develop their expertise.
This course runs on the following dates: June 21st, June 28th, July 5th, July 12th
Each session would deep dive into different techniques and 4 particular
areas of focus in weaving:
Colour Blending
Shapes
Pattern & Structure: Twills | Herringbones | Honeycomb | Extra weft figurative structures
Texture: Loop (pile) weave | Rya knots | Soumak Stitch | Experimenting with Roving and a variety of yarns to create texture.
The course is for complete beginners and intermediate weavers looking to develop their expertise in woven structures. Each student will be guided individually according to their requirements and expertise.
Further fuel your passion, the option to purchase your very own weaving loom kit at a special discounted rate is available at the end of the workshop.
- Students can purchase a frame loom set at a discounted rate of £58. I can also supply these just for the course. The students can then practice the techniques at home in-between sessions to enable them to gain more from the course. Yarn will also be available to purchase (they can purchase this using cash, bank transfer or card)

Pamela Print
Pairing 14-years’ weaving experience with a passion for sustainability, Pamela is a hand-weaver who subscribes solely to the slow textile movement.Coming from a long line of keen hand-knitters, Pamela has always been interested in many areas of contemporary craft. She studied woven textiles at Central St Martins and has a particular interest in the mathematical and technical aspects of weaving. Pamela also enjoys the freedom of being able to design directly on the loom.Seven years spent living and working in the creative quarter of Saint Gilles in Brussels have heavily influenced her practice and helped develop her distinctive signature style. Her current interiors collection was inspired by the local streets renowned for their Art deco architecture.Before founding her studio in 2017, Pamela was selected by Texselect (formally Texprint) to exhibit at Premier Vision in Paris. This propelled her into a 14-year career as a woven textile designer for some of fashion’s most well-known brands. During this time, she realized that preserving the environment is important to her and Pamela Print Woven Textiles now subscribes solely to the slow textile movement.
