Mixed Art Courses (5-Week Course)
These courses will explore drawing and sketching using different mediums and different styles of painting, e.g. watercolour, print, pencils, acrylics and Digital. Each course will work around a specific theme, enabling you to explore that theme in a variety of mediums.
Sew Good – Create a Capsule Wardrobe
A dressmaking class for all skill levels, come and learn new sewing techniques; this is an opportunity to create new styles by up cycling and customising existing garments as well as making new garments.
Acrylic Painting: Coastal Scenes (5-Week Course)
Learn basic skills to paint the British coastline in acrylic paint. Step by step demonstrations will guide you through developing an underpainting and overpainting, colour mixing, brushwork and glazing. Suitable for beginners.
Sew Good: Dressmaking and Textiles Workshop (Weekly – Secondary Age Students)
Learn or improve your sewing skills and practice other textile techniques as you make clothes, bags and other decorative items.
A-Z Kids Art Club (Weekly – Tuesdays)
New term, new A-Z! Explore the work of famous artists and different media, producing your own creations (can lead to Arts Award certificates).
£6 per class, or £20 for 4
Portraits in Pastel (4-Week Course)
Learn to paint a portrait in pastel. Basic portrait drawing skills and the application of soft pastels will be covered in a step-by-step approach to create a realistic portrait. Two weeks without a model and two weeks with a model.
Beginners Dressmaking (6-Week Course)
Learn how to make a garment from start to finish, from choosing a pattern to machine sewing and finishing.
