Learn to Crochet
In this workshop you will learn to make with granny squares, scarves, wrist warmers and simple crochet vessels. If you have a little experience in crochet work we will move on to more complicated pieces using increasing, decreasing and shaping such as amigurumi, (small, stuffed yarn creatures) and twisted cowls using a variety of different stitches and yarns.
General Art Course (6 week course)
This course will explore a range of different techniques and mediums.
Drawing and sketching – looking at and using different medium, i.e. charcoal, chalk, graphite sticks, pen and ink.
This will lead onto different styles of painting – watercolour paint and pencils, acrylic and mixed medium which may include a look at using digital outcomes as well.
The class will demonstrate the importance of exploring the work of various artists for style and reference, and of keeping a sketchbook.
Kids’ A-Z Art Club
Come and join our young artists session! We will explore the work of famous artists and produce our own creations using a variety of different materials and techniques, from Abstract to Zoomorphic. You wil also produce a sketchbook and other work that can lead to Arts Award certificates.
Weekly class – please pay one week in advance.

Sew Good Textiles Workshop For Secondary Age Students
Try out a wide range of Textiles techniques and produce decorative items. An opportunity to improve Textiles portfolios for summer exams.
Portrait Drawing From Life (5 Week Course)
Learn to draw portraits working from a live model. Suitable for beginners.
Intro to Printmaking (3 Week Course)
These workshops will focus on exploring the endless possibilities of collagraphic printmaking. Collagraph is a very creative and experimental form of printmaking using non-specialist materials using texture to create a board. This affordable and environmentally friendly printmaking technique produces amazing results with tremendous image and textural potential. Participants will learn to use both relief and intaglio printing techniques required to make their own print. No previous experience needed.
