I found a love of fiber crafts early on. As a child I was surrounded by beautifully creative women. My mother taught me to knit and spin, first on a drop spindle then later on her spinning wheel. I also learned crochet, sewing, weaving and other crafts from aunts and my wonderful gran who was also a needle lace artist.
Dying and felting came later as did more advanced spinning when I found Jenny, the most creative, wise teacher and artisan. Jenny became my mentor and guide teaching me how to fuse all these beautiful crafts with other mediums to create art. I now teach a variety of fiber arts. I’m also a yoga teacher and combine both yoga and mindful making in mini retreats and workshops.
