Food + Drink: Collagraph Making (part 2)
Collagraph is a very creative and experimental form of printmaking using non-specialist materials using texture to create a printing plate. This environmentally friendly printmaking technique produces amazing results with tremendous image and textural potential.
Lola will begin the first of two workshops with a brief introduction of this diverse method of printmaking together with samples of her work and that of others. She will then discuss how to create a printing plate demonstrating using various techniques and materials. Together with plenty of one-to-one advice and resources participants will be encouraged to design their own collagraph plates inspired by this week’s theme of Food and Drink. The completed plates will then be sealed and left to dry overnight making the plate durable for repeated prints. No experience necessary.
This session is part of our NEW Pick and Mix Summer Special Schedule. Each week for four weeks, we have picked a different theme and organised a series of classes to explore that theme!
